Every decision somebody made has consequences. It is the same with the decision to follow Christ. The joy of salvation is generated by the radical change brought in by Christ and Holy Spirit. You experience forgiveness, justification, and begin to walk in the newness of life. But soon after that something unexpected happen. Your previous friends turn against you.
This takes many forms, but you are in that kind of a situation in which you do not have to let any form of suffering became an opportunity for sin. You have to think as Christ did. When he was in agony on the cross he did not sin, he did not answer back, he was silent and was fulfilling the mission entrusted to him. When it is hard you have to prove that following Christ is possible and that the transformed life is a reality because the new birth is possible. This is a sign of wisdom.
